It makes sense that brands would want to monitor their reputations - and it's cool to see there are tools to help with this. I always search for reviews and the brand's overall reputation before I consider purchasing a product or service. Great share :)

Hi Erik, I'm glad there are more tools today for social listening as Google alerts doesn't usually cover social sites, where oftentimes, people do mention brands.
This is becoming so important for customer service as well as knowing what others are saying about your brand.
Thanks for sharing this one here with is Erik!

Thanks for the reminder of how important it is to monitor your brand, and the tools you can use. Have to confess this is something I (and probably many other micro-businesses) haven't been very proactive.

Some of the brand monitoring tools and methods I had already heard of but most were new to me. Good to see that there were free and affordable options.

    Thanks for sharing, Erik

Hey Erik! This has been an very eye opening article for me! I have been using Google Alerts as way to monitor my name for years now, and now realize I need to add a few keywords to this as well :) I am looking forward to giving Talkwalker a go! I am interested to see what kind of results will show up.

I can see how using these helpful tools to track everything can be useful.

    Great Share,
    Thanks, Chery :))

This a great guide to brand monitoring. It is very comprehensive. However, BrandYourself was not on the list! I use the free version of that tool. It's great! I've been using it for years. I also use Google Alerts.

It's a good piece of content that reveals the importance of monitoring the business brand. Establishing a brand name is the key to business success. I completely agree with the author in performing the brand monitoring and understanding the user engagement. As mentioned, it is good to use a set of tools to make the business brandable and yes, Buzzsumo, Social Mention and SEMRush are the awesome tools to make our presence on the web. Glad I use these tools for my blogging profession.

Keywords play a vital role in web marketing and hence it's better to do the keyword research to reach the target audience and their requirements. Managing the negative feedback is really a headache but I have come to know the ways to handle it. Thanks for the great share @erikemanuelli

    Hey Erik,

Understanding the sentiments can be a plus point, which boosts the sale. Every customer is different, still knowing what they feel while buying something will be helpful.
Having an eye on the competitors is always necessary. The web is a big world, and the marketing strategies should be built according to what growth rate others are at.

    Thanks for sharing with us.
