I recently wrote a post on my "6 favorite ways to use cold email" for StartupGrind. This is great for early stage startups, because I believe in the beginning, everything is about outreach since no one knows you exist.

The main gist is that all emails should be short, conversational, non-salesy and should end with a question. The best way to do this, is to add in a merge field that is a contextual statement.
