I'm not always a fan of "round up" posts or influencer lists, but this one is a BEAST. Lots of tools in here that I've never seen before and a few that I'm sure we've all used & adore. This list consists of 50 pretty big names in the online marketing space (although I'm kinda biased cause I'm included) -- They all weigh in on their single, most-must-have social media tool. It's a great resource going into the new year.. Check it out - I'd love to hear what tools you're all using that may not have made the list!

Dude ... you are the coolest, Ross (constantly living up to your Twitter handle)!

Thanks so much for sharing this.

If anybody's favorite tool didn't get mentioned in the piece ... I'd love to hear about in the comments. ;-)

No problem! Great post + thanks for including me. I was tempted to say my favorite tool was GetCrate.co but... I didn't wanna be bias ;)

    Hey Aaron,

    This was a monster list!

There's one tool that stuck out to me which started using a couple of weeks ago. StartaFire has helped me to triple my traffic as well as Sniply.

Now my main focus would be to focus more into my target audience.

Thanks for sharing! Have a good one!

What a great list of Influencers! I find it fascinating knowing what tools the "Pro's" are using and why. There were a few new applications mentioned that I've never heard of. Definitely made me feel like a novice to social media. Thank you for sharing these. Looks like I'll be checking out a few new ones.

This is a monster post and I've had to bookmark it to go back over it later. I only got to number five before I had to stop and go explore further (the tool was Animoto.)

As someone publishing more and more video, this could be a game-changer. And while I knew most people didn't watch video with sound, I didn't know that the number was as high as 80%. That is very eye-opening.

Wow what an amazing post. So many tools and the tips/best features to try of them all.
I am using quite a few of them but I would like to try others like oktopost or grum etc.
These tools seem promising and the best for social media and content marketing.

It is great to have an introduction to more people in the marketing field. Thanks for that.

When I started blogging, I didn't realize how much marketing and blogging went hand in hand.

I've connected with a few of these influencers.

Now, to learn their favorite tools is great!

Also, it's cool to see that I use some of the same ones. I particularly like IFTTT. It's so handy and makes life so simple!

Excellent round-up post, and one I'm going to bookmark. Seriously!

That's a great post, thanks very much.

I have happily used Buffer for a long time, but recently disappointed that they cancelled plans to implement their "evergreen posts" scheduler - so may be in the market for something different.

eClincher is the name I have been trying to remember!

However, Cyfe looks very attractive and affordable too.

Lots of work ahead choosing between all these tools.

Super useful roundup; I didn't know about a lot of the tools listed here and I'm always on the lookout for them since they save me a lot of time and also allow me to figure things out that I wouldn't be able to without them.
I just have to figure out a way to integrate trying out new tools into my life. It takes time to learn how to use them the best way.

Wow, fabulous Ross. Excellent, excellent read. Gotta agree with Sam on SAF. Inspired tool because it takes the whole of 1 second to use it and maybe, a few minutes to set that sucker up and the returns are immense. Brilliant returns really.

Thanks Ross for sharing this awesome list of tools. It really amazes me how many they have and how many keep on coming out!
I love word swag and had not heard of it before.
BuzzSumo is on my 2017 list of tools to use. I will have to check out Sendible too.

    Hi, Ross!

Thank you for the extensive research - the insights are really valuable. The research process must have been a few months long - so kudos to you for enduring it!

There is one thing, though, that I am curious about.... How did you actually manage to get the experts have completely different answers? :) I mean, they all mention completely different platforms. Did you aim for that result?

    All the best,
