Cool, I also use mention.net to map out intersecting tribes with the startups I work with. This informs the content we create, as well as new potential partners, and new influencers to activate.

One of the startups I work with is Aqwary. They have a new product geared toward scuba divers, that enables them to communicate across a local underwater network using ultra-sonic sound.

Obviously the product is geared towards the tribe of scuba divers, however it's always beneficial to find the intersecting tribes as you mentioned in your blog post. I collected data over a period of time using mention.net regarding mentions of scuba diving on blogs, and twitter. I then analyzed that data and found the following intersecting tribes: travel, sustainability & conservation, film & photography, exploration, boats, wild life & nature, scientific research, as well as gear & gadgets. Having this enables us to plan our content marketing, as well as identify channels and influencers.

We do not have the full case study yet, because the product has not yet launched. To be continued. :)
