Theory before practice, you have to read all 5 books to become a growth hacker jedi.
1. Growth Hacker Marketing by Ryan Holiday
2. Viral Loop by Adam Penenberg
3. Contagious by Jonah Berger
4. Lean Startup Marketing by Sean Ellis
5. Growth Hacking by Jose Casanova
I love the idea of a specific sequential reading list to help people become better growth hackers. While I've read two of Malcolm's suggestions (and written one), I haven't yet read Contagious or the last one. Excited to order those today on my Kindle. BTW, the book listed by me is just a collection of my blog articles that are available for free at Startup-Marketing.com.
Would love other people's thoughts on a particular order of books to read for becoming a better growth hacker.
Since attaining PM fit is key (in non network effect businesses) prior to accelerating growth, I think understanding the applicable concepts of the lean startup methodology is an essential first step.
For me, Ash Maurya's Running Lean is the go to book for that as it focuses your attention on what is truly important to get to PM fit - and would be (one of) the first book(s) I would read before getting to anything else.
Great point Anuj, will dig it out!
