YES DANA! Change is the only constant here; glad you found it useful! :o)

I wanted to jam-pack everything into this piece — Hopefully it helps many biz owners (now + in future) make the right decision for THEIR brand.

Being an online solopreneur, I like to keep everything in-house, including marketing. But if I run a company with many employees, I'd hire an agency (like Sam @sam___hurley said, minus stressful team costs + timeframes).

Thanks Erik for sharing this one by Sam. I visit many small businesses a day and many do NOT have anyone on staff. Most use their younger family members to manage their social media channels. And then they say "it's not working for them, social doesn't work".... They are afraid to invest money in it, they think social media is all free. Your post would be an eye opener for many, thank you!

      ** FACE PALM **

That was my actual response to this, Lisa! LOL! :D

You got it in one ... NOTHING is free these days. And if biz owners aren't careful, 'FREE' actually costs them more than they could ever imagine!!!

      Thanks again Lisa,

    Hey Erik,

Nowadays, it's really hard to find someone who can help you to grow the business. As Sam has mentioned, the cost of Social Media Marketing, Web Development, and other things matter a lot.
Glad to have an informative article.
    Thanks a lot.

Some companies re-invest up to 70% of their income on marketing, so yes, you must plan it very well!

"Fail to plan, plan to fail..."

Particularly the case when such an amount of investment is concerned!

It takes time to find the best marketing partner — but when it happens, the returns greatly outweigh any time input.

Thanks so much for reading, Ravi! It sure is an expensive business, this marketing malarkey! ;-)

Despite the saturation in vendors today, it sure does seem tougher than ever to find *the right* match (ironically, partly due to the sheer choice available).
