Guilherme is a senior growth strategist who currently works at Volvo Cars in Stockholm, Sweden as part of the offer development team responsible for Care By Volvo - Volvo's subscription service. During his time at Volvo Cars, Guilherme has also worked as Senior Commercial Transformation Strategist and Innovation Manager being part of Volvo Car's "moonshot" innovation team (H3 Innovation).
He believes that his passion for growth comes out of his difficult childhood, after growing up in a poor suburban area in Recife, Brazil. "I had to learn how to be strategic about my choices since very young. Our family conditions required me to live with few different families for periods, I believe these experiences taught me a great deal of empathy, but also how things can be so different from one postal-code to another. That's why I think we are doomed to be biased, so, unless we base our decisions in evidence, we can only be wrong or lucky"
Before joining the giant automaker, Guilherme has spent 7 years doing growth (among other things) in different Swedish startups, working with online dating, music, and football. He is native from Brazil and moved to Sweden during his bachelor studies in 2009, staying there since then - "Probably my biggest growth experiment ever".
